About Us
Formed in April 2008 following the formation of the Engineering and Technology Flight, Staffordshire Wing IT Services is tasked with driving the development of the Wing's electronic capabilities and facilities.
In forming the team, the Wing Executive set five key objectives:
- To develop systems and processes that enable the movement of official correspondance from paper-based to electronic media.
- To develop, implement and support systems that utilise electronic administration processes at both Squadron and Wing level.
- To assist the Wing Media Communications Team in the development of a dynamic and current Wing website.
- To manage and develop the electronic resources and facilities of the Wing, including internet domains, webspace, e-mail facilities and the IT infrastructure of Wing Headquarters.
- To empower cadets to assume control of their own cadet careers, particularly regarding the provision of training opportunities.
